A Melodramatic stage musical with intrigue, drama, romance, adultery, chivalry and magic. Based on historical mythology the legend of King Arthur has been a well-known story who’s characters are also documented in the Encyclopedia Britannica.

Set in the 4th century the musical centers on the rise and fall of King Arthur (King of Britain).

At that time the kingdom had no heir after the death of King Uther Pendragon and Barons were fighting to claim their right to be the new King. Arthur was the illegitimate son of Uther Pendragon, taken away as a child by Merlin (the Wizard) and raised by a Knight in secret.

Legend has it that King Arthur, also called Arthur Pendragon became King after withdrawing the sword embedded within a large stone boulder, this could only be done by the true King, this test was the conception of Merlin the Wizard.

 

The story captures his romance and marriage to the Lady Guinevere.

Camelot Castle is central to the story and Arthur’s “Knights of the Round Table”, the affair of Lancelot (Knight) with Lady Guinevere is also part of the musical.

 

Merlin the Wizard (Arthurs Advisor) and Kilgarrah (Dragon Seer) the Seer’s magical influence over the kingdom.

 

Viviane the Magical “Lady of the Lake” who appears at times in Arthurs reign and ultimately after his death takes him to Avalon.

Arthurs half-brother Mordred who in Arthurs absence declared himself King Mordred’s sister Morgana LeFey (Morgan) who plots against

Guinevere.

Arthurs ultimate battle and death by the hand of his half-brother Mordred who tried to claim Arthurs throne.
